Larissa Pelúcio is Professor of Anthropology at Paulista State University (UNESP), Campus Bauru, State of São Paulo, Brazil. She is also a Professor at the Graduate Program in Social Sciences at UNESP, Campus Marília.

Pelúcio got her PhD in Social Sciences from UFSCar (2007). Later she worked on a post-doc at the Center of Studies on Gender “Pagu” at UNICAMP (2008-2010).

She is an Associate Professor of Anthropology (tenured) at the UNESP, researcher of Pagu (UNICAMP) and also at Quereres – Research Center on Differences, Human Rights and Health (UNIFESP). She was the vice-coordinator of Quereres between 2007-2017.

Pelúcio has published her PhD dissertation as “Abjeção e Desejo” (2009) and several papers on gender, sexuality and public health in specialized journals, in Brazil and other countries.
